Stanley Clipsham built Clipsham Lodge in 1947 near the mouth of the Kahshe River. It could accommodate 40 guests. Stan and his wife Jean operated the resort for 25 years. The Lodge and property were sold in 1973 to Canadette Sports Camp and later Camp Winston.
